13 Days Tanzania photographic safari Itinerary

Combine a luxury vacation with a safari that includes an exciting photography workshop in one of the world’s most outstanding wildlife, landscape, and cultural locations. Nothing compares to having your own private tented camp in the Serengeti. Don’t worry, this isn’t a ‘rough’ camping experience. Your en suite tent comes with a proper bed and hot showers. Accommodation in permanent tented camps with solid flooring is available on a professional photographic safari to northern Tanzania. Specially selected four to five-star tented Camps with good beds linen, and an en-suite bathroom are included in luxury safaris. The classic safari style for photographers is to travel in a 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof and open both sides.

All of our driver guides were born and raised in Tanzania and are trained naturalists, environmentalists, and unparalleled game spotters. Day 1: Arrive in Arusha on the first day.

Welcome to Tanzania, your first choice for photographic safaris! You will be met by your professional safari guide upon arrival in Tanzania this evening and transferred to The African Tulip Hotel in Arusha Town for overnight. Breakfast include. https://www.theafricantulip.com/

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park,

Drive to Tarangire National Park after breakfast at your lodge. The Tarangire River, which rises in the highlands of central Tanzania and winds its way through the game sanctuary, gives the park its name. During the dry season, the river attracts herds of plains migrants from the parched surrounding area to its shrunken – but permanent – brackish waters. Day 3: Game drive in Tarangire National Park for the entire day.

Tarangire National Park is located in Tanzania. After breakfast, you will visit Tarangire National Park, which is home to large herds of elephants. In the park, you can go on morning and afternoon game drives. Tarangire Safari lodge is where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Tarangire-Lake Manyara National Park

This morning, your drive will take you to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will stop for a picnic lunch. The escarpment’s brown and red cliffs rise dramatically on one side of Lake Manyara National Park, which is located in a depressed valley. Springs emerge from the escarpment’s base, providing a welcome source of water. On the way to your lodge, take a game drive. Day 5: Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park for half a day.

Manyara is home to over 380 bird species, including the hadada ibis, saddle-bill stork, Hottentot teal, plover, and African pied wagtail. Look for the playful velvet monkeys searching for food at the tops of the trees as you game view through the ground water forest. Tanzania is the ideal location for a photographic safari! You’ll be staying at Ngorongoro Tloma Lodge for another night.


Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park to Centre Serengeti National Park

Depart for Serengeti with a picnic lunch, stopping along the way at Olduvai Gorge, the site of Dr. and Mrs. Leakey’s discovery of the early human fossil. You will be treated to a short presentation by one of the Antiquities Deputies, who will explain what has been done and what is still happening. This visit is (optional). Following the gorge, you’ll be taken to your own luxury tented camp in Centre Serengeti. Before heading out for an afternoon of game viewing, settle into your camp. The Serengeti’s short grass plains, combined with an abundance of food in the form of large herds of zebra, wildebeest, impala, and buffalo, make it an ideal place to see cheetah on the hunt. Day 7 & 8: Full day game drive in Center Serengeti National Park’s

Nothing compares to having your own private tented lodge in the Serengeti. This isn’t “rough” camping, so don’t be concerned. Your en suite tented room has a comfortable bed and hot showers can be arranged quickly. The culinary delights prepared over an open fire are comparable to those served in five-star restaurants. And there’s nothing like stargazing around a campfire for a happy feeling. Today is a full day of game viewing. Serengeti Acacia tented camp for dinner and overnight. All meals include.

Day 9: Center Serengeti National Park (Southern Serengeti)

Another appealing feature of a private tented lodge is the freedom to set your own schedule. Today, you might want to spend some time relaxing in camp before going on a game drive in the Ndutu area of the southern Serengeti. Day 10: Serengeti National Park (Southern Serengeti)

Another advantage of private tented camping is the freedom to set your own schedule. Today, you might want to spend some time relaxing at the camp before embarking on another full-day game drive. Ndutu Heritage Tented Camp (Private Tented Camp)

Day 11: Southern Serengeti-Ngorongoro Conservation area

This morning’s drive will take you to a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, where you’ll have a picnic lunch before continuing to Ngorongoro Crater for the night. Day 12: Game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater for the entire day.

“It is impossible to give a fair description of the size and beauty of the Crater, for there is nothing that can compare,” Professor B. Grzimek once wrote about Ngorongoro Crater.
You’ll quickly agree with the Professor as you descend to the crater’s floor. Grazers such as zebras and wildebeest dominate the landscape, but giraffes are noticeably absent due to a lack of food. On the crater’s floor, enjoy a full morning of game viewing. Ngorongoro Tortilis Tented Camp is where you’ll be staying for dinner and overnight. All meals include.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Drive to Arusha this morning for lunch, then relax in the afternoon and go shopping in Arusha town before checking into The African Tulip hotel for a day use room. In the evening, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.
