3 Days Northern Tanzania Budget Camping Safari

3 Days Northern Tanzania Budget Camping Safari description

YOUR ADVENTURE AWAITS

On our 3 days Tanzania camping safari adventure, you will be immersed in the East African wilderness. You will travel on rough adventurous roads, pass tiny rural settlements and see fascinating landscapes and abundant wildlife. All your senses will be involved; from smelling early morning coffee, experiencing the thrill of a kill to the chill of a morning game drive. Falling asleep to the hooting of an owl or waking up with the roaring of a lion is what you will experience. The Cross to Africa Safari is all the more intense as you are ‘right in the middle’ of it all. The nearness to the nature, especially at night with its nocturnal sounds, compensates for the luxury of a lodge.

Our camping safaris in Tanzania offer all of this and are therefore perfect for nature lovers and those who are looking for a break from civilization and its comforts. Camping is to experience Tanzania’s nature, animals and cultures in an affordable way.

3 Days Northern Tanzania Budget Camping Safari Itinerary

Arusha-Tarangire National Park, Day 1

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha in the morning and taken to Tarangire National Park, which is famous for its large elephant herds. You will scan the seasonal swamps, savannah, and Tarangire River from the open roof of the vehicle for zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hartebeest, elephants, giraffes, waterbuck, and reedbucks. With luck, you’ll catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards sleeping in the trees above. You will leave the park after an extensive game drive, having experienced the various sights and sounds of the wilderness, and travel to Pandorama Camp, which is located on the rim of the East Africa Rift Valley, where you will spend the night in a tent on a campsite.
Dinner, Lunch

The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera, is nearly 20 kilometers wide and 600 meters deep, and is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard. Animals such as wildebeest, gazelles, reedbucks, and more than 500 bird species flock to the caldera’s various springs. You’ll eat lunch at a picnic site before continuing your game viewing in the crater. In the afternoon, you’ll leave the crater and drive to a Simba “A” campsite on the crater’s edge for the night.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all options.

Day 3: Arusha-Ngorongoro Conservation Area-Lake Manyara National Park-Ngorongoro Conservation Area

The sun rising over the Ngorongoro Crater will reward early risers with a breathtaking orange glow. After breakfast, you’ll depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park 120 kilometers west of Arusha. A shallow, alkaline lake bears the park’s name. Thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species call it home. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons. Monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and, with luck, lions lounging in the trees will greet you as you explore the park. Your safari will come to an end in the afternoon when you return to Arusha.
